La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse soccer team improved to 5-0 with a 7-0 victory over Millikin University (Ill.) Saturday night on Parents' Night at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex. The Big Blue drop to 2-2.
UWL recorded its fifth consecutive shutout to start the season on Saturday. It marks the first time in school history the Eagles have started the year with five straight shutouts. UWL recorded four straight shutouts to start the 2023 and 2025 season.
The Eagles have outscored their opponents, 19-0, to start the season.
Aubree Caya had two goals in Saturday's win.
HOME SUCCESS
* The Eagles improved to 93-16-12 at home under head coach
Jason Murphy, including 50-2-5 in the last six seasons.
* UWL's last home loss (3-1) came to then fourth-ranked Christopher Newport University (Va.) on September 27, 2024.
* The Eagles are 20-0-2 at home in their last 22 games with ties coming against Carleton College (Minn.) on October 20, 2024 by the score of 2-2 and versus UW-Platteville on October 22, 2025 by the score of 1-1.
SERIES RECORD
* UWL now leads the all-time series, 2-0, with Millikin (Ill.). The Eagles earned a 6-2 victory last season in Decatur, Illinois. The win was Murphy's 200th career victory as a head coach. With Saturday's win, he is now 219-79-28 (.715) overall, including 178-46-26 (.764) in 13 years at UWL and 41-33-2 (.553) in four seasons at Marian University (Wis.).
HOW IT HAPPENED
* UWL scored five first half goals, including a pair from
Aubree Caya. She scored at 20:20 and 28:25 to make it 2-0 with
Amaya Thesing recording assists on both goals.

Macy Evans' assist for a 3-0 lead.

Anya Carrillo's goal at 38:31 off a
Morgan Fitt assist extended the lead to 4-0 and Evans scored at 42:16 on a
Grace Williams' assist for a 5-0 lead.
* UWL finished with 22 shots in the first half, including 15 on goal. The Eagles had six corner kicks in the first half.
* Millikin totaled six shots in the first half with three on goal.
* The Eagles tallied two goals in the second half. Thesing scored on a penalty kick at 60:52 for a 6-0 lead. Williams finished the scoring at 89:42 off a free kick.
Macy Evans recorded a goal and assist.
UWL LEADERS
* UWL finished with 32 shots, including a season-high 21 on goal. The Eagles tied its season-high with 12 corner kicks.
* Fifteen players recorded a shot. Williams and
Monica Wawrzyn led UWL with four shots. Williams had all four shots on goal while Wawrzyn had three shots on goal. Thesing, Evans and Speltz finished with three shots.

Jordyn Young combined for the shutout victory. Nicolai earned the win with three saves in playing the first half. Aeby also had three saves in 16:50 in goal while Young had one save in 28:10.
MILLIKIN LEADERS
* Millikin finished with 12 shots, including nine on goal. The Big Blue had one corner kick.
* Addison Weed led the Big Blue with three saves. Weed, Izzy Jones and Corinne Marstall each had two shots on goal.
* Jessica Bearley suffered the loss, registering nine saves.
