DeKalb, Ill. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse gymnastics team once again travel to a National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I meet as they competed against Northern Illinois University on Sunday afternoon. UWL fell 193.000-191.400 to Northern Illinois.

Next Up: The Eagles will be home for their next meet on Friday, February 6th as they host Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference foe UW-Oshkosh. Competition is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. The Eagles will be celebrating senior night and alumni night along with honoring the 1986, 2006 and 2016 national championship teams.

VAULT
- As a team, the Eagles scored a 47.900 on the vault while the Huskies scored a 48.325.
- Ava Kaspryzcki and Sarah Pastore were the top performers on the vault as they tied for fifth place with a 9.625.
- Next for the Eagles was Cobi Powel and Paige Breckwoldt who tied for seventh with a 9.575.
- Alanah Wallace and Audrey Brenner of Northern Illinois tied for the top score on the vault with a 9.725.
UNEVEN PARALLEL BARS
- Northern Illinois would finish with a 47.800 on the uneven parallel bars while UWL recorded a 46.700 as a team.
- Lauren Main was the top Eagle scorer on the uneven parallel bars as she scored a 9.675 to finish third individually.
- Claire Robbins also finished in the top five individually as she recorded a 9.650 while Azia Hawkins was sixth with a 9.550.
- Northern Illinois' Elizabeth Poncin won the event with a 9.775.

BALANCE BEAM
- The Eagles would finish with four gymnasts in the top four on the balance beam as they recorded a school record 48.625 as a team. The event score breaks the record of 48.525 set by the Eagles at the WIAC Championship/NCGA West Regional on March 8, 2025.
- Madalyn McCormick won the event with her second 9.825 of the season. McCormick set her Eagle career high of 9.850 at the University of Nebraska Quad on January 10, 2026.
- With a 9.775 on the balance beam, Lucy Warren finished third overall while teammates Main and Robbins tied for fouth with a 9.750.
- Mikayla Brown was the Huskies top finisher with a 9.800 as they finished with a team score of 48.300.
FLOOR EXERCISE
- Breckwoldt and Robbins would finish tied for fourth place on the floor exercise as they both scored a 9.700.
- Next for the Eagles was Grace Kehr who scored a 9.625 to finish ninth individually.
- Brown would win the event with a 9.800 for the Huskies.
- As a team, UWL scored a 48.175 on the floor exercise while Northern Illinois finished with a 48.675.
