La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse gymnastics team finished second at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Gymnastics Championships/National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) West Regional (presented by Culver's) at Mitchell Hall on Saturday afternoon.
THE BASICS
Final Scores: UW-Oshkosh posted a score of 193.925 to win the WIAC Championship/NCGA West Regional, while
UW-La Crosse was second with 192.975, UW-Whitewater third with 192.850, Winona State University (Minn.) with 191.900, UW-Stout fifth with 191.250, UW-Eau Claire sixth with 189.250, Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.) seventh with 188.500, Simpson College (Iowa) eighth with 187.900 and Hamline University (Minn.) with 181.875.

NCGA National Championship Implications: The conference championship also served as the West Regional qualifier for the NCGA Championship that will be conducted March 22 and hosted by Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minn. UW-Oshkosh and UW-La Crosse earned automatic spots into the national event by placing in the top two. At-large positions will be announced at a later date.
Eagles Earn Conference Honors: Raina Christenson was named to the WIAC All-Sportsmanship Team.

VAULT
- As a team, the Eagles scored a 48.525 as Winona State scored the highest team score with a 48.650.
- Sarah Pastore was the top Eagle finisher on the vault as she tied for second with a 9.800.
UNEVEN PARALLEL BARS
- As a team, the Eagles scored a 47.550 as UW-Oshkosh scored the highest team score with a 48.400
- With a 9.600, Sarah Best tied for 10th place as the Eagles top finisher.
Raina Christenson
BALANCE BEAM
- Lucy Warren and Raina Christenson both scored a 9.825 to win a WIAC Championship/NCGA Regional Title for the Eagles. The 9.825 was a season high for Warren. It is Christenson and Warren's first WIAC Championship on the balance beam.
- Also finishing in the top ten for the Eagles was Kyla Dickson who tied for eighth with a 9.675.
- The Eagles finished with a the high team score on the balance beam with a 48.600.
FLOOR EXERCISE
- Dickson and Claire Robbins led UWL on the floor exercise with a ninth place finish as they tied with a 9.750.
- The Titans of UW-Oshkosh scored a event high 48.875 on the floor exercise while UW-La Crosse recorded a 48.300.
