La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse gymnastics squad is set to compete at the 2025 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Championship (presented by Culver's) and National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) West Regional Saturday, March 8. Session one is set to start at 12:30 P.M., and session two is set to begin at 6 P.M. The 51st edition of the conference championships will take place at the UW-La Crosse's Mitchell Hall Gymnasium.

Session one will feature, Hamline University (Minn.), Gustavus Adolphus (Minn.), Simpson College (Iowa.), UW-Eau Claire, and Winona State. Session two includes, UW-Stout, UW-Oshkosh, UW-Whitewater, and UW-La Crosse. 

The conference meet also serves as the West Region qualifier for the NCGA Championship scheduled for Saturday, March 22 at Gustavus Adolphus (Minn.). The top two teams from the WIAC event, along with qualified gymnasts and potential at-large teams will advance to the NCGA meet.
 
EAGLE HISTORY  AT THE WIAC CHAMPIONSHIPS/NCGA WEST REGIONAL

• UWL has won a league-record 24 WIAC titles in school history, including 19 in the last 30 seasons. 
• The Eagles finished third at the 2024 WIAC Championships/NCGA West Regional with a score of 192.175.UW-Oshkosh, with a score of 192.875, won the 2024 WIAC Champioinship/NCGA West Regional Title while UW-Whitewater was second with a total of 192.275.  
• Head Coach Kasey Crawford is in her ninth season at UWL. She led the Eagles to a WIAC Championship in 2018 and second-place finishes at the NCGA Championships in 2017 and 2018. The Eagles finished third at the 2022, 2023 and 2024 NCGA Championships. Crawford won 2022-23 Coach of the Year. Crawford was a four-year letter winner and two-year team captain at UWL, competing from 2004-08.

 EAGLES AT THE 2025 WIAC CHAMPIONSHIPS/NCGA WEST REGIONAL
    Team

• As a team this season, the Eagles are averaging 191.331 points with season high of 192.625 coming at the UW-Oshkosh Quadrangular on February 27.
• So far this season on each event, the Eagles are averaging 47.700 on the vault, 47.453 on the uneven parallel bars, 48.031 on the balance beam and 48.147 on the floor exercise.
• The Eagles won five dual meets this season while winning the Winona State Triangular, finishing second at the UW-Oshkosh Quadrangular and third at the George Washington University (D.C.) Quadrangular. 

     Vault   

• Paige Breckwoldt has led the Eagles so far this season on the vault with a season high of 9.800 while averaging a team season best 9.589. Breckwoldt's score ranks third on the WIAC Honor Roll in the vault.
• Also averaging at least a 9.575 this season is Lily Millington who is averaging a 9.575 and has a season high 9.675.

    Uneven Parallel Bars

• Lauren Main is leading the Eagles this season with a season average 9.597. Her season best 9.750 ranks tied for sixth on the WIAC Honor Roll. 
• Claire Robbins is second on the Eagles with a season average on the bars of 9.459. Her season best 9.750 came at the UW-Eau Claire dual on January 17. 

    Balance Beam

• Raina Christenson's season high of 9.850 on the balance beam ranks first on the WIAC Honor Roll while she is averaging a 9.532 for the season.
• Main led the Eagles in season average with a score of 9.691 on the balance beam. Her season high of 9.800 came at the UW-Oshkosh Quadrangular.

    Floor Exercise

• After earning an NCGA All-America Honor by finishing seventh in the floor exercise at the 2024 NCGA Championships, Jessica Taylor returned for her senior season where she has led the Eagles with a team best 9.697 average. Her 9.825 at the George Washington University (D.C.) Quadrangular on February 16 ranks third on this years WIAC Honor Roll. 
• Also leading the Eagles on the floor exercise is Robbins who is averaging a 9.597. Her season best 9.725 occurred at both the George Washington University Quadrangular (D.C.) and UW-Oshkosh Quadrangular.
