Friday's Results
Rochester, Minn. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse men's swimming & diving team remains in second-place after the second day of action at the Rochester Invitational Friday night at the Rochester-Olmstead County Recreation Center Natatorium.
The Eagles have 932.0 team points. St. Cloud State University (Minn.) leads the eight-team invitational with 1,369.0 points.
UWL's relays both recorded top five finishes on Friday with the 200 freestyle relay of
Tyler Hartmann,
Jesse Hammes,
Preston Nygaard and
Jacob Ketterling fourth (1:22.45) while the 400 medley relay of Ketterling, Hartmann,
Jonah Elfers and Hammes fifth (3:22.55).
Individually,
Aanav Patel was fourth (351.30 points) in the three-meter diving competition.
Ketterling was sixth (51.04),
Coby Zander eighth (52.33) and
Sean Gillett 13th (53.49) in the 100 backstroke.
In the 100 breaststroke, the Eagles' Hartmann placed fifth (56.35), Nygaard seventh (56.63) and Gabe Dewald 12th (58.93).
Gavin LaBeau finished ninth (1:44.85),
Ben Collins 11th (1:46.66) and
Caleb Jondle 13th (1:46.82) in the 200 freestyle.
Owen Acker was ninth (4:16.43), DeWald 14th (4:20.25) and
Davin Evans 16th (4:32.66) in the 400 I.M.
The three-day invitational concludes Saturday, December 6 with preliminaries at 9 a.m.
