La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse soccer team completed its regular season with a 3-0 victory over UW-Whitewater Saturday night at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex.
The Eagles improve to 16-2-1 overall and 6-0-1 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) while the Warhawks fall to 8-6-5 overall and 3-3-1 in the conference.
With the win, UWL extends its WIAC unbeaten streak to 28 (26-0-2) with Saturday's win. The Eagles also improved to 9-0-1 at home this season.

Monica Wawrzyn's assist. UWL's 
Aubree Caya tallied the next two goals to extend the lead to 3-0. She scored at 26:23 for a 2-0 advantage on 
Ella Opie's assist and made it 3-0 on a penalty kick at 30:01.

The two goals gave Caya a single-season school record 21 for the season. She breaks the record of 19 set by Jennifer Tischaefer in 1997 and 1999.
UWL finished with 18 shots in the game, including eight on goal. Caya recorded five shots with three on goal while 
Jillian Sawadski had four shots with two coming on goal. Speltz totaled three shots with one on goal.
The Eagles had eight corner kicks.
Summer Nicolai (54:00) and 
Robin Blair (36:00) combined on the shutout. Nicolai earned the win, recording four saves for the Eagles while Blair had one save.
UW-Whitewater totaled five shots, all coming on goal. Brooklyn Carlson had two shots.
The Warhawks had one corner kick.
Hannah Wolf suffered the loss, allowing three goals in the first half while recording four saves. Kara Smith played the second half, registering one save.
UWL clinched its fourth straight WIAC regular season title with a 5-2 victory at UW-Oshkosh on October 25. It is the Eagles' eighth (1996, 2015, 2017-18, 2022-25) regular season conference championship in school history. UWL is the first team in league history to win four straight titles since UW-Whitewater in 2011-14. UW-Stevens Point won four consecutive crowns from 1992-95 and six straight from 1997-2002.
UWL is the top-seed for the WIAC Tournament and will host a semifinal on Friday, November 7 at 4 p.m.
