Milwaukee, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse soccer team, receiving votes on this week's United Soccer Coaches National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Top-25 Poll, had its five game winning streak snapped with a 1-0 loss at MSOE (Wis.) Tuesday night at Viets Field.
The Eagles drop to 13-2 while the Raiders improve to 9-4-2.
UWL now leads the all-time series, 5-2-1, with MSOE (Wis.).
MSOE (Wis.) scored the game's only goal at 24:45 on Elizabeth Kuhn's goal.
UWL finished with 18 shots on Tuesday with 10 on goal. The Eagles had three corner kicks.
Aubree Caya registered five shots, including three on goal, while
Ella Opie totaled three shots with two on goal.
Grace Williams finished with three shots (one on goal) and
Catherine Arnold two (one on goal).
Summer Nicolai recorded five saves.
MSOE (Wis.) totaled 16 shots in the game, including six on goal. The Raiders also recorded three corner kicks. Kuhn led MSOE (Wis.) with five shots, all on goal. Claire Bradford also had five shots.
Paige Sanchez registered 10 saves.
