HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Eagles would bat around in the first inning as they scored five runs on four hits and two errors. Chris VandenHeuvel led off with a single and advanced to second on a ground out. With one out, Jack Olver singled while Anthony Vivian reached on an error which allowed VandenHeuvel to score. On that same play Olver scored on a throwing error while Vivian moved to second. Back-to-back walks for George Seaman and Mac Born would load the bases for UWL. After a strikeout, back-to-back singles by Brady Burrill and Jack Moran would allow Vivian and Seaman to score while Born moved to third. Born then scored on a passed ball for the final run of the first inning.
  • The Bears would get a run in their half of the first inning on an RBI single by Evan Minarovic.
  • The third inning saw UWL make it 6-1 on a sacrifice fly by Nate Witte which scored Burrill who had singled and stole both second and third base.
  • A Connor Lindsey double drove in a run while a ground out by Kaden Bernhard scored another to cut the Bears deficit to 6-3 after three innings.
  • In the fourth inning, Seaman led off with a double while Tim Urlaub was hit by a pitch. Burrill then walked to load the bases. A wild pitch would allow Seaman to score while Moran's single scored both Burrill and James Rae (who pitch ran for Urlaub). After Moran stole second base, Witte singled to score Moran from second and put UWL up 10-3.
  • UWL would add the final three runs of the game in the sixth inning as Urlaub led off with a single and went to second on a single by Burrill.
