Rochester, Minn. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse men's swimming & diving team completed final day action at the Rochester Invitational Saturday night at the Rochester-Olmstead County Recreation Center Natatorium.
The Eagles finished fourth with 1,004.0 team points. St. Cloud State University (Minn.) won the seven-team invitational with 2,064.0 points.
Ben Collins recorded UWL's top individual finish, placing sixth (2:06.80) in the 200 breaststroke.
Davin Evans was 12th (2:15.87).
UWL's
Jesse Hammes was eighth (46.78) in the 100 freestyle while
Alex Starr and
Jackson Plautz tied for 14th (47.71).
Alex Starr finished eighth (54.33) in the 100 I.M. with
Zach Vinson ninth (1:56.67) and
Caleb Jondle 10th (1:59.22) in the 200 butterfly.
Sean Gillett placed 15th (2:00.26) in the 200 backstroke.
The Eagles' 400 freestyle relay of Collins, Plautz, Starr and
Connor Cleveland finished seventh (3:08.03).
UWL returns to action Saturday, January 18 hosting UW-Oshkosh at 1 p.m.
