Kenosha, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse volleyball team fell to Carthage College (Wis.) in straight sets on Friday night.

HOW DID IT HAPPEN
- UWL used an 10-3 run to turn a 3-3 tie into an 13-6 lead. Carthage slowly chipped away at their deficit and pulled to within 16-15 before UWL scored four straight. The Fire Birds would score five straight and tie it up at 20-20. The two teams would trade points until UWL committed back-to-back errors to take set one 27-25.
- Carthage jumped out to a 10-3 lead in the first set and never trailed. Carthage's largest lead of the set at 22-10.
- Carthage would hit .556 in the third set while UWL was limited to hitting -.150. The Fire Birds used an 11-2 run and take a 20-8 lead in the third set.
FROM THE BOX SCORE
- As a team, the Eagles hit .011 and were led by Gabby Johnson with six kills
- Hally Holker recorded 13 assists while Taylor Lason finished with nine digs.
- Carthage finished hitting .291 with Kaitie Rohe leading the way with 14 kills.
