La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse soccer team improved to 11-3-2 overall and 4-0-1 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) with a 4-1 victory over UW-Stout Wednesday night at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex. The Blue Devils fall to 0-11-2 overall and 0-5 in the conference. UWL is now 5-0-2 in its last seven games.
UWL, receiving votes on the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III Top Poll, extends its WIAC unbeaten streak to 20 (19-0-1) with Wednesday's win.Â

UWL, ranked third in Region IX, earned its 10th straight win over UW-Stout on Wednesday. The Blue Devils last earned a regular season victory over the Eagles in 2013.Â
Ellie Behnke got the scoring started for UWL at 11:28 to make it 1-0.
Kaitlyn Kurtz followed with an unassisted goal at 13:37 for a 2-0 lead. UW-Stout cut the deficit to 2-1 at 35:39 as Ella Kemp scored on Lauren Chuckel's assist.Â
The Eagles regained a two-goal lead at 39:07 as
Amaya Thesing scored off assists from
Kate Heiderscheit and
Katelyn Studebaker.Â
UWL finished with 19 shots in the first half and six corner kicks while UW-Stout totaled four shots.Â
Jillian Sawadski extended UWL's lead to 4-1 at 55:07 on assists from
Amaya Thesing and Behnke.
UWL finished the game with 41 shots with 21 coming on goal. Kurtz led the Eagles with five shots, including four on goal. Behnke, Sawadski,
Ellie Arndt and
Alexis McMahon each had four shots. Sawadski recorded three shots on goal while Behnke and Arndt each finished with two.
Aubree Caya also had two shots on goal. Sixteen different players recorded a shot. The Eagles had nine corner kicks.Â

Erelyn Apel earned the win, playing the first half while recording one save. Summer Nicolia had two saves in 34:18 in goal.
Robin Blair played the final 10:42.
UW-Stout had six shots, including four on goal. The Blue Devils failed to record a corner kick. Claire Olson registered 16 saves. UW-Stout also had one team save in the game.
UWL returns to action Saturday, October 26 at UW-Eau Claire at 2 p.m.Â
