Mequon, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse soccer team earned its third straight shutout to start the season with a 3-0 victory at Concordia University Wisconsin Wednesday at Fitting Field. The Eagles improve to 3-0 on the season while the Falcons drop to 1-1-1.
UWL opened its season with a 1-0 victory over College of Saint Benedict (Minn.) followed by a 7-0 win at the University of Dubuque (Iowa). It marks the first time in school history the Eagles have opened the year with three straight shutouts. UWL started varsity competition in 1992.

Jillian Sawadski. The Eagles maintained their 1-0 lead at halftime, finishing with eight shots while holding the Falcons to two shots.Â

The Eagles finished with 20 shots in the game with nine on goal while the Falcons recorded three shots, including one on goal.
Ellie Arndt led UWL with six shots while Allan totaled five. Both had two shots on goal. Selena Esten recorded two shots for Concordia Wisconsin with one on goal.Â
Sophia Anger recorded the shutout with one save. Brooke Braga finished with six saves for Concordia Wisconsin.
UWL returns to action Saturday, September 9 versus Illinois Wesleyan University at 1:30 p.m. The game will be played at Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa.Â
