Whitewater, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's tennis team tied for fourth at the UW-Whitewater Warhawk Invitational Saturday with 28.0 team points. Grinnell College (Iowa) took the team title with 41.0 points. A total of eight teams competed.
In singles play, UWL's
Lauren Lindow took the No. 2 consolation title. She went 2-1, earning the consolation crown with a victory (8-3) over Maddie Kearney of Carthage College (Wis.). The Eagles'
Tasha Bailey (No. 1) and
Emma Heinert (No. 3) both placed fourth in singles. Bailey went 1-1 on the day while Heinert finished 1-2.
UWL's

Avery Nicholson won the No. 3 doubles consolation title with a 2-1 mark. The duo beat Beatriz Ferreria/Larisa Ishikama of Carthage (WIs.) in the consolation final (8-1).
