Box Score Wauwatosa, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's tennis team opened the 2023-24 season with a 9-0 victory over Wisconsin Lutheran College Friday afternoon at Hart Park. The Eagles improve to 1-0 overall while the Warriors fall to 0-1.
UWL swept the three doubles matches to start the dual.

In singles play, Lindow defeated Haskell at No. 1 (6-0, 6-0) while Roth beat Smith at No. 2 (6-4, 6-2). Then at No. 3 singles, Bailey defeated Schmidt (6-2, 6-1) and Cady beat Hawley at No. 4 (6-4, 6-3).
Kate Townsend bested Olson at No. 5 (6-0, 6-0) and
Emma Heinert defeated Pope at No. 6 (6-0, 6-0).
UWL returns to action on Saturday when they travel to Whitewater, Wis. to compete in the UW-Whitewater Warhawk Invite. Competition starts at 9 a.m.
