La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse gymnastics team earned a 192.000 to 188.600 dual victory over UW-Oshkosh Friday night in Mitchell Hall. The Eagles set a Mitchell Hall facility record with their overall score of 192.000. The Eagles broke the record of 191.800 set by UWL at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC)/National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) West Regional Championships on March 4, 2016.

The score of 192.000 ranks seventh in school history. UWL finished with a score of 48.075 on the vault Friday, 47.850 (season-high) on the uneven parallel bars, 47.900 on the balance beam and 48.175 on the floor exercise.
UWL swept all four individual events as well as the all-around on Friday. The Eagles'
Rachel Chesley won a pair of titles, capturing the vault (9.775) and uneven parallel bars (9.700). She also tied for third (9.625) on the floor exercise.
Ashlyn Barker won the floor exercise (9.675) while
Cate Sandvik took the balance beam (9.650). Sandvik was the only competitor in the all-around, finishing with a score of 38.050. She also finished second (9.650) on the floor exercise.

Other top-six individual finishers on Friday included
Alex Wood placing second (9.700) on the vault and fifth on the floor exercise (9.600) while
Madi Vanderpool tied for second on the uneven parallel bars (9.625), tied for fifth on the balance beam (9.575) and placed fifth (9.625) on the vault.
Marise Zepeda tied for second (9.600) on the balance beam while
Kerrie Legault tied for second (9.625) on the uneven parallel bars (9.625) with Vanderpool.
Sarah Pastore tied for third (9.650) on the vault while
Jessica Taylor tied Chesley for third (9.625) on the floor exercise.
UWL returns to action Friday, February 10 at UW-Eau Claire at 6 p.m.
