HOW DID IT HAPPEN
- The Eagles got off to a very fast start as they outscored the Cougars 38-13 in the first quarter. UWL scored the first eight points and led 17-4 with 3:54 left in the first quarter. Grace Knupp sparked the fast start with eight points. Lauryn Milne led the Eagles in the opening period with 13 points.Â
- A Kailee Meeker three-pointer would extend the Eagles lead to its largest of the first half (44-16) with 8:46 left in the second quarter. With 1:02 left in the first half, Melia Perry hit a three-pointer for Concordia Chiciago to cut their deficit to 54-31 which was the score at intermission.Â
- After UWL took a 62-37 lead with 6:04 on the clock in the third quarter, Concordia Chicago went on a 13-4 run to pull within 66-50 with 1:43 left. However, that would be as close as the Cougars would get the rest of the way.Â
- UWL scored the first eight points of the fourth quarter to take its largest lead of the game at 80-50 (8:05).Â

- Milne led the Eagles with a double-double as she finished with 21 points and 12 rebounds. She also added three assists, two blocks and two steals.
- Meeker finished right behind Milne with 20 points to go along with seven rebounds, four assists and two steals.Â
- Also in double figiures for the Eagles was Knupp and Madisyn Kilboten with 10 points each.Â
- As a team, UWL shot 37-of-71 (52.1%) from the floor including nine-of-27 (33.3%) from the three-point line. The Eagles also shot 12-of-19Â (63.2%) from the free throw line.Â
- UWL finished the game with a 45-37 advantage on the board.
- Concordia Chicago shot 24-of-68 (35.3%) from the floor including six-of-23 (26.1%) from the three-point line. They were also 12-of-16 (75%) from the free throw line.
- Melia Perry led the Cougars with 16 points while Nazuri Whigham added 13 points.Â
