Superior, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's basketball team extended their win streak to four games as they defeated Marian University (Wis.) on day two of the UW-Superior Shootout Holiday Classic.

HOW DID IT HAPPEN
- Madisyn Kilboten hit two of her four three-pointers early in the first quarter as UWL took an early 11-6 lead (3:33). After Marian (Wis.) tied it at 11-11, UWL scored the final four points to lead 15-11 after one quarter.
- Kiara Williams would cut the Sabres deficit to 17-15 before the Eagles went on a 17-5Â run to lead 34-20 with 5:09 left in the second quarter. Lindsey Knuth and Kailee Meeker each hit a three-pointer to spark the Eagles run. UWL would lead 36-24 at halftime.
- The Eagles would score 13 of the first 15 points in the third quarter as they took its largest lead of the game at 49-26 with 4:18 left in the period. Kilboten's third three-pointer of the game would cap the run. Marian closed the quarter with an 11-4 run to trail 53-37 after three quarters.
- A Williams jumper with 5:24 left in the game cut the Sabres deficit to 58-45 but that would be as close as Marian would get the rest of the way.Â

- The Eagles finished with a balanced scoring attack as they had Lauryn Milne, Meeker and Kilboten each finish with 12 points to lead the way.
- Knuth and Ali Sprangers each added nine points.
- Milne finished with a team high nine rebounds while Paige Schumann had a team high five assists.Â
- UWL finished the contest shooting 27-of-70 (38.6%) from the floor including 11-of-35 (31.4%) from the three-point line.Â
- The Eagles defense forced 21 turnovers while there offense committed just 10.Â
- Kiara Williams led the Sabres with 28 points and 17 rebounds.
