Box Score La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse volleyball team dropped their final match of the season with a five set loss to Carthage College 3-2.

HOW DID IT HAPPEN
- After UWL cut their deficit to 17-16 in the first set, Carthage scored eight of the final 11 points to take the first set 25-19.
- A 4-0 run for the Eagles broke a 14-14 tie with an 8-3 run to lead 22-17. After back-to-back points by the Redbirds, UWL scored three of the final five points to take the second set 25-21.
- With the third set tied at 15, UWL went on a 8-1 run to build its largest lead at 23-16. The Redbirds scored the next three points before the Eagles were able to record the final two points and win the third set 25-19.
- The Eagles built a 6-1 lead in the fourth set but the Redbirds responded with a 9-2 run to lead 10-8. Carthage used a 5-0 run to break a 17-17 tie and take a 22-17 lead. UWL cut their deficit to 24-22 but Carthage recorded a block for the final point of set four.
- Carthage (Wis.) opened up the fifth set with a 5-1 run before UWL took a 11-10 lead. The Redbirds took a 14-12 lead on back-to-back kills by Liv Carel. A redbird service error followed by a service ace by Taylor Larson to tie the score at 14. Carthage (Wis.) would then get back-to-back kills for the final two points to win the final set 16-14.
FROM THE BOXSCORE
- Brianne Korducki led the Eagles with 14 kills and 15 digs for her 18th double-double of the season.
- Reese Yocum finished with 13 kills.
- Grace Nommensen recorded a double-double with 22 assists and 12 digs.
- Taylor Larson finished with a team high 20 digs.
- Leena Ajbola led the Redbirds with 17 kills and 11 digs..
