Box Score Elmhurst, Ill. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse volleyball defeated Wheaton College (Ill.) 3-0 on day two of the Elmhurst University Invitational Saturday morning.

HOW DID IT HAPPEN
- With the first set tied 4-4, UWL got two kills from Brianne Korducki and one from Reese Yocum to take an early 7-4 lead. The Eagles would slowly pull away as they took its largest lead of the first set at 22-14. Wheaton scored four straight to make it 22-18 but that would be as close as they would get.
- Wheaton jumped out to an early 8-3 lead in the second set. UWL would tie it up at 10 before Wheaton would take a 17-13 lead. The Eagles then went on a 12-2 run to close out the second set with a 25-19 win.
- The third set saw the Eagles jump out to a 7-2 lead and never trailed. The Eagles hit an impressive .625 with ten kills and no hitting errors.
FROM THE BOXSCORE
- Korducki led the Eagles with her 16th double-double of the season with 11 kills and 14 digs.
- Gabrialla Johnson finished with nine kills.
- Taylor Larson led the Eagle defense with 14 digs.
- Grace Nommensen had 18 assists and 8 digs.
- Wheaton was led by Jordan Benford with seven kills and 12 digs.

- UWL will return home for their final two games on Friday November 3 and Saturday November 4. The Eagles will play their final Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference match on Friday when they take on UW-Oshkosh at 7 p.m. Then on Saturday, UWL will play Carthage College (Wis.) at 3:00 pm.
