Box Score Menomonie, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse volleyball team lost 3-0 to UW-Stout Wednesday night at Johnson Fieldhouse.

HOW DID IT HAPPEN
- The Eagles and Blue Devils would trade points back and forth until the game was tied at 8. UWL then scored three straight to make it 11-8 before UW-Stout went on an 8-3 run to take lead 16-14. After UW-Stout extended their lead to 19-16, UWL scored four straight to take a 20-19 lead. Two kills, a service ace and a UWL hitting error would give the Blue Devils a 23-20 lead. UW-Stout would hold on to take the first set 25-23.
- A mini 3-0 run would give UWL a 13-10 lead midway through the second set but a 10-3 run by the Blue Devils would make it 20-16. The Eagles would score the next two points; however, the Blue Devils scored the final five points to win the second set 25-18.
- Like the first two sets, neither team would take a lead of more than a point until UW-Stout scored three straight to take a 13-11 lead. The Blue Devils would take a 20-15 lead but the Eagles would cut their deficit to 21-18. However, that would be as close as UWL would get as they dropped the third set 25-21.

- Brianne Korducki led the Eagles with 13 kills and nine digs.
- Gabrialla Johnson seven kills, eight digs and three service aces.
- Grace Nommensen 14 assists and seven digs.
- Sidney Hoverman led the Blue Devils with 11 kills
- Kennedy Barrett finished with 33 assists and six digs.

- UWL will travel to Elmhurst, Ill. to play in the Elmhurst University Invitational Friday, October 27 and Saturday October 28. The Eagles open the tournament on Friday at 4:30 p.m. versus North Central College (Ill.) followed by Elmhurst University (Ill.) at 7 p.m.Then on Saturday, the Eagles play Wheaton College (Ill.) at 10 a.m.
