Decorah, Iowa - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse men's cross country team captured a dual victory at Luther College (Iowa) Friday night. The Eagles finished with 15 team points while the Norse totaled 49.
UWL took the top-six places on Friday, including
Aidan Manning winning the individual title with a time of 15:31.4 on the 5,000-meter course.
Austin True was second (15:39.7),
Ben Stangel third (15:41.3),
Mason Brown fourth (15:44.5),
Parker Huhn fifth (15:49.9) and
Alex Strojny sixth (16:04.2).
The Eagles'
Riley Huss finished eighth (16:10.7),
Owen Klaus ninth (16:12.9),
Alec Taylor 10th (16:13.6),
Jeremiah VanAcker 14th (16:30.8).
A total of 42 runners completed the race.
UWL returns to action Saturday, October 28 at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Championships at Prescott (Wis.) High School starting at noon.
