Duluth, Minn. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse soccer team, ranked 20th on this week's United Soccer Association Top-25 Poll, improved to 6-1 on the season with a 3-0 win at The College of St. Scholastica (Minn.) Tuesday afternoon at Saints Field. St. Scholastica (Minn.) drops to 1-5-1.
The Eagles tallied three goals in the first half Tuesday.
Rachael Janes got the scoring started at 29:10 off assist from
Lindsey Szymanski. UWL took a 2-0 lead at 40:08 with
Natalie Schisel scoring.
Camryn Hart recorded the assist. Szymanski made it 3-0 with a goal at 43:02, coming off a
Lucy Quidzinski assist.
UWL out shot St. Scholastica (Minn.), 19-0, in the opening half with eight shots on goal.
Cameron Daily finished the scoring at 81:31 to make it 4-0.

The Eagles totaled 27 shots in the game with nine on goal.
Ainsley Allan and
Ellie Behnke each had four shots in the game with
Lucy Quidzinski recording three.
Jenna Nichols led UWL with two shots on goal. UWL finished with nine corner kicks, four in the first half and five in the second.
St. Scholastica (Minn.) was held to four shots with one on goal from Kaitlyn Sautter. Ella Stritesky had two shots for the Saints.
Sophia Anger earned the win in goal for UWL, playing the first half.
Robin Blair combined on the shutout for the Eagles, finishing with one save in the second half. Gracie Meagher finished with five saves for St. Scholastica (Minn.).
The four goals ties a season-high for UWL as the Eagles earn their third shutout of the season.
UWL returns to action Sunday, September 25 hosting St. Norbert College (Wis.) at 2 p.m.
