Ethan Anderson of
Black River Falls (H.S.) has been voted to the 2021-22 Academic All-District® Men's Basketball Team, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), the organization announced Thursday.
He is one of six student-athletes named to the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III District 6 Team. District 6 includes students from Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin. Anderson advances to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in mid-March.
A finance major with a 3.69 grade point average, Anderson is a three-time member of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Scholastic Honor Roll.

Starting 23 games this season, Anderson leads UWL with 19.1 points per game. He has scored in double figures in all 23 contests, including a season-high 27 at Augsburg University (Minn.) November 17. Anderson has scored at least 20 points in 10 contests this year. He leads the WIAC in scoring (19.1) and free throw shooting (86.0%) while ranking sixth in steals (1.2 per game) and 10th in field goal shooting (51.6%).
Along with leading UWL in scoring, Anderson leads the Eagles in free throws made (80) and attempted (93) while ranking second in assists (41), tied for second in steals (28) and third in rebounds (115).
Voted to the 2019-20 and 2020-21 All-WIAC First Team, Anderson ranks 11th in school history with 1,191 career points. He is third in school history in career free throw shooting at 87.0% (240-of-276).
UWL is 19-5 overall and finished 9-5 in the WIAC in 2021-22 under fifth-year head coach

The 2021-22 Academic All-District® Men's Basketball Team, selected by CoSIDA, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CoSIDA Academic All-District® teams are divided into geographic districts across the United States and Canada.
The Division II and III CoSIDA Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2021-22 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CoSIDA Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA national office.
