La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse soccer team, ranked 17th on this week's United Soccer Coaches Top-25 Poll, extended its winning streak to six with a 6-1 victory over UW-Stout Saturday afternoon at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex. The Eagles improve to 13-1-1 overall and 4-0 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) while the Blue Devils drop to 1-11-3 overall and 0-3-1 in the conference.
Kaitlyn Kurtz' goal gave UWL a 4-1 lead.
UWL took a 1-0 lead at 9:43 with
Claire Cater scoring off a corner kick. An own goal at 11:26 gave the Eagles a 2-0 lead. Cater quickly made it 3-0 at 14:47 off a
Alexis McMahon assist.Â
UW-Stout cut the lead to 3-1 at 26:12 with Caylee Boone scoring off an assist from Lauren Chuckel.Â
The Eagles regained their three-goal lead at 37:34 on a
Kaitlyn Kurtz goal off
Natalie Schisel's assist. UWL took a 5-1 halftime lead at 41:47 with Schisel scoring on
Lindsey Szymanski's assist. UWL totaled 25 shots in the first half while holding UW-Stout to two.Â
Logan Fritsch gave UWL a 6-1 lead at 61:06. Rachel Janes recorded the assist. The Eagles finished the scoring at 79:14 on a goal from
Lexy Szymanski off a
Sophia Goodale assist.
UWL finished with 34 shots in the game, including 23 on goal.
Ainsley Allan led the Eagles with seven shots with four on goal.
Ellie Arndt had five shots with three on goal while Kurtz finished with four shots and two on goal. Sixteen different players recorded a shot for UWL.Â
The Eagles had all nine corner kicks in the game.Â
UW-Stout totaled six shots with four on goal. Marissa Steele had two shots, both coming on goal.Â

McKenna Lloyd earned the win for UWL, recording two saves in 75:07.
Paige Janssen had one save in 14:53. Julia McNamar (11 saves) and Lily Shield (five) each played a half in goal for UW-Stout.Â
UWL returns to action Wednesday, October 19 hosting the University of Dubuque (Iowa) at 7 p.m.
