UW-La Crosse 188.450, UW-Eau Claire 180.200
La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse gymnastics team earned a 188.450 to 180.200 dual victory over UW-Eau Claire Friday night in Mitchell Hall. The Eagles scored 47.300 on the vault, 47.000 on the uneven parallel bars, 47.300 on the balance beam and 46.850 on the floor exercise.
Cate Sandvik won the floor exercise.
UWL won three individual titles Friday, including
Alex Wood on the vault (9.575),
Kerrie Legault the uneven parallel bars (9.525) and
Cate Sandvik the floor exercise (9.550).
The Eagles took the top-four places and five of the top-six on the vault.
Jessica Taylor placed second (9.500),
Madi Vanderpool third (9.475),
Megan Hawkins fourth (9.425) and
Kyla Dickson sixth (9.325).

UWL captured the top-six finishes on the uneven parallel bars. Along with Legault finishing first, Vanderpool was second (9.500),
Molly Lyngaas third (9.425),
Sara Beck fourth (9.375), Sandvik fifth (9.175) and Taylor sixth (9.075).
Along with Sandvik winning the floor exercise, Taylor placed second (9.450),
Olivia Opheim third (9.425) and Beck sixth (9.300).
Dickson recorded UWL's top finish on the balance beam, placing second overall (9.625).
Emma Grant was third (9.525), Sandvik fourth (9.425) and Wood tied for fifth (9.375).
UWL returns to action Friday, February 11 at UW-Whitewater at 7 p.m.
