La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse volleyball team, receiving votes on the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Top-25 Poll, earned a 3-0 (25-21, 25-14, 25-17) victory over Macalester College (Minn.) Friday night in Mitchell Hall. The Eagles improve to 13-2 on the season while the Scots drop to 9-6.

With the victory, UWL's
Amber Dunn earned her 100th career win as a collegiate head coach. She is 67-36 in four years at UWL after going 33-33 in two seasons as head coach at State University of New York-Geneseo.
The opening set was tied 11 times, including 14-14. UWL took a two-point lead on a pair of Macalester (Minn.) hitting errors and would never trail the rest of the set. The Scots cut it to 16-15, but a service error and kill from the Eagles'
Brianne Korducki gave UWL a 18-15 advantage.
UWL used a 10-2 run in the second set to take a 13-5 lead, including six straight points. Macalester (Minn.) cut its deficit to 13-9, could get no closer the rest of the set.
Gabrialla Johnson had four kills Friday night.
The third set was tied, 5-5, when the Eagles went on a 4-0 run to lead 9-5 after a
Gabrialla Johnson kill. The Scots could get no closer than two points the rest of the match.
Emma Lawrence led UWL with 11 kills while Korducki finished with 10 and hit .400 (10-2-40).
Liz Lansink recorded six kills.
Megan Adams registered 27 assists as the Eagles hit .240 for the match.
Sophie Quelle had a team-high 15 digs with
Isabelle Jensen finishing with 12. UWL totaled 5.0 team blocks.
Eliza King led Macalester (Minn.) with eight kills while Adisa Preston finished with seven. Nicole Norton recorded 20 assists as the Scots hit .043 (20-16-94). Jill MacInnis, Torrance Williams, and King each had eight digs. Macalester (Minn.) had 3.0 team blocks.
UWL returns to action Saturday, September 25 with a pair of matches in Madison, Wisconsin. The Eagles face host Edgewood College (Wis.) at noon and Loras College (Iowa) at 2 p.m.
