La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse men's track & field hosted the UW-La Crosse Eagle Meet Friday night at Roger Harring Stadium at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex. No team scored were recorded.
UWL recorded four individual first-place finishes Friday, including three on the track. The Eagles'
Caden Pearce captured the 400-meter dash (48.33) while
Andrew Pischke won the 400-meter hurdles (55.40) and
Michael Madoch the 1,500-meter run (3:50.60).
In the field events, Joe Schmida captured the javelin throw (175-9) for UWL.
Other top finishers on the track included
Addison Hill finishing third (49.48) in the 400-meter dash while
Payton Flood took fourth (49.54). In the 800-meter run,
Brian Hansford was second (1:57.02) and
Parker Huhn fifth (1:59.06).
Nathan Schacherl was fourth (4:04.16) and
Reed Anderson sixth (4:05.21) in the 1,500-meter run.
Dirk Lueck was second (58.64) in the 400-meter hurdles while
Ben Jones finished fifth (16.57) in the 110-meter hurdles.
In Friday's field events,
Andrew Hermes finished second (22-5 3/4) in the long jump while
William Cady was third (44-0 3/4) in the triple jump and
Matt Haynes third (6-2) in the high jump.
UWL's
Alec Morrison took second (154-4) in the javelin throw. The Eagles had three of the top-five finishers in the pole vault with
Tommy Knoche third (16-1 1/4),
Logan Larson fourth (16-1 1/4) and
Sashi Popke fifth (15-3 1/2).
Michael Lampman finished sixth (154-7) in the discus throw.
UWL returns to action Wednesday, May 19 hosting the UW-La Crosse NCAA Final Qualifier at 3 p.m.
