La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse men's track & field captured the UWL Tribute Triangular Friday night at Roger Harring Stadium at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex. The Eagles finished with 124.0 team points while UW-Stout placed second with 101.0 and Gustavus Aldophus College (Minn.) third with 97.0.
UWL recorded eight individual first-place finishes Friday, including five in the field events. Tommy Knoche won the pole vault (16-0) while Joe Schmida captured the javelin throw (175-10). Matt Haynes placed first in the high jump (6-1 1/4), Samuel Sadowski took the long jump (24-3 3/4) and Nick Crary the triple jump (44-6 1/4). 
On the track, the Eagles' Seth Holden won the 100-meter dash (10.57) while Troy DeBruin took the 200-meter dash (21.51). Michael Madoch captured the 800-meter run (1:57.18).
In Friday's field events, Logan Larson was second (15-6 1/4) in the pole vault with Kaleb Schuster fourth (14-6 1/4). In the long jump, Andrew Hermes placed second (21-8) while Evan Daley was third (21-6 1/4). Chase Roehl finished second (44-1 1/4) in the triple jump and William Cady third (44-01/4).
UWL's Michael Lampman placed second (158-2) in the discus throw while Byrce Sitko took fifth (136-11), in the shot put, Daniel Graf was fourth (49-5), Sitko fifth (43-4 1/2) and Lampman sixth (42-11). Graf was second (169-2) with Aiden Williams finishing sixth (152-4) in the hammer throw while Alec Morrison took second (165-2) in the javelin throw.
Other top finishers on the track included Josh Koenecke second in the 100-meter dash (10.63) with DeBruin third (10.66), Spencer Reichart fifth (22.05) and Sadowski sixth (11.02). Dillon Murman finished second (14.53) in the 110-meter hurdles, Carson Reilly third (14.78) and Ben Jones sixth (15.57). In the 200-meter dash, Holden placed second (21.55), Caden Pearce fourth (21.85), Reichart fifth (22.05) and Jake Sullivan sixth (22.27).
The Eagles' Tyler Kisting was second (1:57.27) in the 800-meter run while Brian Hansford placed third (1:57.71), Nathan Schacherl fourth (1:59.00) and Chad Franz fifth (2:00.40).
Alex Turner, Madoch, Kisting and Hansford finished second (3:29.77) in the 4x400-meter relay.
