Platteville, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse men's track & field competed at the UW-Platteville Invitational Saturday afternoon at the UW-Platteville Track and Field Complex. No team scores were recorded.
UWL recorded eight individual first-place finishes Saturday, including three in the field events. Joe Schmida won the javelin throw (171-1)while
Logan Larson captured the pole vault (16-1 3/4).
Samuel Sadowski placed first in the long jump (22-9).
On the track, the Eagles'
Jake Sullivan won the 400-meter dash (48.33) with
Michael Madoch capturing the 1,500-meter run (4:01.70).
Dillon Murman took first in the 110-meter hurdles (14.98) while
Andrew Pischke finished first in the 400-meter hurdles (58.19).
Corey Fairchild won the 3,000 meter steeplechase (9:32.89) for UWL.
In other top finishes in the field events,
Alec Morrison was second in the javelin throw (157-1) while
Tommy Knoche finished second (14-8),
Zach Hayes third (14-8) and
Kaleb Schuster fourth (14-2) in the pole vault.
UWL's
Michael Lampman placed third in the discus throw (141-4) while
Daniel Graf was third in the shot put (49-0 3/4).
Nick Crary finished third in the triple jump (44-7 1/2).
Other top finishers on the track included
Caden Pearce third in the 400-meter dash (49.22) with
Addison Hill fourth (49.69).
Carson Reilly placed third in the 110-meter hurdles (15.23). In the 1,500-meter run,
Parker Huhn was third (4:05.66) and
Isaac Wegner fourth (4:06.50).
Ethan Thompson finished second (9:32.96) in the 3,000-meter steeplechase for the Eagles with
Elias Ritzke fourth (9:38.33).
Tyler Conroy,
Carter Hahn, Sadowski and
Justin Kotarak finished second (42.82) in the 4x100-meter relay.
