St. Paul, Minn. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse gymnastics team ended its season with a dual victory at Hamline University (Minn.) Thursday night in Walker Field House. The Eagles finished with a team score of 187.300 while the Pipers totaled 181.000.
UWL recorded scores of 47.200 on the vault, 45.775 on the uneven parallel bars, 46.750 on the balance beam and 47.575 on the floor exercise. The Eagles score of 47.575 on the floor exercise was a season-high.Â
Madi Vanderpool
Kacey Mortenson won her fourth straight all-around title on Thursday night (37.600). She took the all-around crown in all four of UWL's duals this season. Mortenson also captured the vault (9.550) while finishing second on the balance beam (9.500), tied for second on the floor exercise (9.575) and sixth on the uneven parallel bars (8.975).Â
Olivia Opheim
Emma Grant was second in the all-around (37.275) Thursday while also placing second on the uneven parallel bars (9.250), tied for second on the floor exercise (9.575) and tied for fifth on the vault (9.250).
UWL took two other individual titles with
Madi Vanderpool winning the uneven parallel bars (9.400) and
Olivia Opheim the balance beam (9.550). Vanderpool was also second on the vault (9.500) while Opheim finished fourth on the floor exercise (9.525). Â
Other top finishers included
Katie Saladin and
Megan Hawkins tied for third on the vault (9.450) while
Kerrie Legault finished third (9.100) and
Molly Lyngaas tied for fourth (9.100) on the uneven parallel bars.Â
Marise Zepeda tied for fourth on the balance beam (9.400) for the Eagles with
Jordyn Faust finishing fifth on the floor exercise (9.500).Â
