Winona, Minn. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse gymnastics team earned a 189.200-179.225 dual victory at Winona State University (Minn.) Friday night in McCown Gymnasium. The Eagles totaled 47.525 on the vault, 47.350 on the uneven parallel bars, 47.375 on the balance beam and 46.950 on the floor exercise.
UWL set season-high scores in overall and each individual events on Friday night.

The Eagles swept all four individual events as well as the all-around.
Kacey Mortenson captured the all-around title (37.675) or the second straight meet.
UWL took the top-five places on the vault with
Madi Vanderpool first (9.575) and
Audrey Kaufman second (9.550). Mortenson and
Megan Hawkins tied for third (9.475) while
Alex Wood was fifth (9.450).
Kerrie Legault won the uneven parallel bars (9.725) as UWL had five of the top-six finishers overall.
Molly Lyngaas was second (9.625), Vanderpool third (9.500),
Emma Grant fourth (9.325) and Mortenson sixth (9.175).
Mortenson and
Olivia Opheim tied for first on the balance beam (9.650) Friday night with Grant finishing third (9.600) and Kaufman fifth (9.375). On the floor exercise, the Eagles'
Jenna Danninger took the individual crown (9.525) with Grant second (9.500), Mortenson fifth (9.375) and
Jordyn Faust sixth (9.325).
UWL returns to action Tuesday, March 23 hosting UW-Whitewater at 5 p.m. in Mitchell Hall.
