Oshkosh, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's track & field team opened its 2021 indoor season with a 87-57 dual victory at UW-Oshkosh Saturday in the Kolf Sports Center.
UWL won eight events on Saturday, including seven individual titles. On the track,
Emily Dawidowich took the 60-meter dash (7.81),
Savannah Rygiewicz the 200-meter dash (26.36) and
Katie Banie the 400-meter dash (59.52).
Sydney Wambach
Four athletes won field events for the Eagles, including
Skye Digman in the weight throw (55-7 3/4),
Hannah Zenkovich long jump (17-11 3/4),
Amanda Wiebke high jump (5-4 ¼) and
Jessica Stelzner the triple jump (38-3 1/4).
Emma Lawrence,
Mara Schroeder,
Amber Johnson and Banie took the 4x400-meter relay (4:02.50).
Other top finishers on the track included Rygiewicz placing second (7.88),
Kelly Aldrich third (7.93) and
Aly Reuvers fourth (7.97) in the 60-meter dash while Zenkovich was second (9.08),
Brooke McDowell third (9.45) and Wiebke fourth (9.58) in the 60-meter hurdles.
Aldrich also finished second (26.50) in the 200-meter dash while Reuvers was third (26.54). Johnson finished second (1:00.0) in the 400-meter dash with Schroeder third (1:02.61) and Izi Knoernschild fourth (1:02.62).
Maddie Hannan placed second (5:07.75) in the mile.

Knoernschild, Wiebke, Zenkovich and
Skylar White took second (4:06.93) in the 4x400-meter relay.
In Saturday's field events,
Sydney Wambach was second (36-10 1/4) and
Kylah Frederixon fourth (36-4 1/4) in the triple jump. Wambach also took second (17-8 3/4) in the long jump with
Maddie Hansen third (17-1 1/4) and
Nicole Lord fourth (17-0 1/2).
Olivia Owens finished third (5-2 1/4) and Hansen fourth (5-0 1/4) in the high jump.
The Eagles'
Abby Meidl placed second (11-1 3/4) and
Ashley O'Connell third (10-2) in the pole vault.
Pamela Gramer was third (53-7 1/2) in the weight throw.
