Oshkosh, WI-The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse gymnastics team fell 181.900-181.350 at UW-Oshkosh in their season opener Friday night in the Kolf Sports Center. The Eagles finished with 46.650 on the vault, 45.950 on the uneven parallel bars, 44.850 on the balance beam and 43.900 on the floor exercise.

Megan Hawkins won the vault title on Friday with a 9.525. Audrey Kaufman would place second with a 9.400, while Kacey Mortenson tied for third (9.375). Mortenson would later place second in beam (9.375) and Jessica Ahrens would finish in third (9.325) for the Eagles.
UWL's Kerrie Legault earned first place in the uneven parallel bars with a score of 9.550 while Brittany Gutzkow placed second, with a new season high score of 9.250.
In the floor exercise Emma Grant earned first place with a score of 9.425. Grant would place second for the Eagles in all around results with a score of 35.675, finishing ninth on the beam (8.600), 10th on the uneven parallel bars (8.675) and vault (8.975).
UWL returns to action Saturday, January 18 at Hamline University (Minn.) at 4 p.m.
