Box Score 2 La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse volleyball team earned a pair of victories in Mitchell Hall Saturday to extend its winning streak to three. The Eagles earned a 3-0 (25-23, 25-12, 27-25) victory over St. Norbert College (Wis.) and a 3-1 (25-14, 25-21, 25-27, 25-18) win over Wisconsin Lutheran College. UWL improves to 7-6 on the season, including 3-0 in Mitchell Hall.
Anna Rossner had 13 kills in Saturday's matches.
Versus St. Norbert (Wis.), UWL hit .465 (52-6-99) for the match. The Eagles' .465 hitting percentage ranks eighth in single-match school history. UWL hit a school record .578 (43-6-64) against UW-Platteville on November 18, 1983.
The .465 hitting percentage is UWL's best since hitting .500 (44-13-62) against Viterbo University (Wis.) on September 21, 2007, 12 years to the day of Saturday's performance.
Emma Lawrence led the Eagles with 23 kills against St. Norbert (Wis.), hitting .583 (23-2-36).
Anna Rossner finished with nine kills while
Abbey Fox,
Liz Lansink and
Brianne Korducki each finished with five.Â
UWL hit .708 (17-0-24) in winning the second set, 25-12. Â
Fox recorded 39 assists overall while
Courtney Conway led UWL with 16 digs. The Eagles finished with 5.0 team blocks.Â
In the victory over Wisconsin Lutheran, Lawrence again led UWL with 23 kills as she hit .396 (23-4-48). Fox, Korducki and
Laine Hoeffel each finished with eight kills. Fox recorded 39 assists as the Eagles hit .299 (55-17-127).Â
Lawrence and Fox each had 13 digs while Conway totaled 12.Â
UWL returns to action Wednesday, September 25 hosting UW-Whitewater at 7 p.m.
