UW-La Crosse 186.750, UW-Oshkosh 184.675
La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse gymnastics team earned a 186.750-184.675 dual victory over UW-Oshkosh Friday night in Mitchell Hall. The Eagles finished with 47.050 on the vault, 46.850 on the uneven parallel bars, 46.700 on the balance beam and 46.150 on the floor exercise.
Ally Blixt
UWL swept each of the four individual events on Friday night, including three tying for first on the vault.
Sam Weyker,
Savannah Farrell and
Megan Hawkins tied for first on the vault (9.425).
Breghan Kiloran
Breghan Kiloran took the uneven parallel bars title (9.525) for UWL while
Ally Blixt captured the balance beam (9.650) and
Emma Grant the floor exercise (9.550).
Weyker was also second on the floor exercise (9.500) while Blixt was fourth on the vault (9.400) and Grant tied for fifth on the balance beam (9.325).
UWL's
Jessica Ahrens recorded a pair of top-five finishes, placing second on the balance beam (9.600) and tying for fifth on the vault (9.375). Along with Kiloran winning the uneven parallel bars, the Eagles'
Dani Barmore was second (9.425),
Brooke Kachinsky third (9.400) and
Molly Lyngaas fifth (9.300).
Olivia Opheim tied for fifth on the balance beam (9.325) with Grant while
Kacey Mortenson was sixth on the floor exercise (9.225).
UW-Oshkosh's Jessica Bernardo won the all-around title (36.400).
UWL returns to action Friday, February 15 at Winona State University (Minn.) at 6:30 p.m.
