Winona, Minn. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse gymnastics team set three season-highs in earning a 189.000 to 183.150 dual victory at Winona State University (Minn.) Friday night in McCown Gymnasium.
The Eagles set season-highs in their overall (189.900), balance beam (47.325) and floor exercise (47.700). UWL recorded scores of 47.200 on the vault and 46.775 on the uneven parallel bars on Friday night.
UWL swept the four individual event titles. The Eagles'
Sam Weyker took the vault title while
Breghan Kiloran won the uneven parallel bars (9.550) and
Ally Blixt the balance beam (9.625). Weyker and Blixt tied for first on the floor exercise (9.600).
Blixt was also fourth on the vault (9.425).
Kacey Mortenson and
Savannah Farrell tied for second on the vault (9.450) for the Eagles while Mortenson was also third on the floor exercise (9.550). Mortenson and
Ellie Beckman tied for third on the uneven parallel bars (9.275).
Brooke Kachinsky was second (9.450) on the uneven parallel bars while
Olivia Opheim and
Emiko Wilks tied for second on the balance beam (9.550). UWL's
Emma Grant was fourth (9.525) on the floor exercise.
UWL returns to action Friday, February 22 hosting UW-Stout at 6:30 p.m. on Senior Night.
