Whitewater, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse soccer team finished in a 0-0 double overtime tie at UW-Whitewater Saturday night. The Eagles are now 8-4-2 overall and 1-0-1 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) while the Warhawks are 7-4-3 overall and 1-0-1 in the conference.
UWL finished with 10 shots in the first half while UW-Whitewater had three. Both teams had two shots in the second half.
The Eagles had a pair of shots in the first overtime, one each from
Camryn Hart and
Katie Feller. The Warhawks then had both shots in the second overtime period, including Anna Brodjian at 105:27 which was saved by the Eagles'
Quinn Shannon.
The Eagles totaled 14 shots overall with nine on goal.
Kaitlyn Villars finished with four shots (two on goal) while Hart and Feller each had two shots (one on goal). The Warhawks were held to seven shots, including two on goal. Anna Boyd and Olivia May each had two shots.
Shannon recorded two saves for UWL while Sara Klimisch had nine for UW-Whitewater
UWL returns to action Wednesday, October 16 at UW-Platteville at 7 p.m.
