Box Score Decorah, Iowa - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse volleyball team earned a 3-0 (25-21, 25-14, 26-24) win at Luther College (Iowa) Wednesday night. The Eagles, receiving votes on this week's American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Top-25 Poll, improve to 4-1 on the season while the Norse fall to 2-3.
Marisa Johnson led UWL with 17 kills Wednesday night, hitting .359 (17-3-39) while recording 13 digs and five aces.
Emma Lawrence finished with 11 kills while hitting .296 (11-3-27) while
Kathryn Maas and
Lauren Young each recorded five kills.

Abbey Fox finished with 36 assists as the Eagles hit .286 (46-12-119).
Along with Johnson's 13 digs, Julie Van Fleet recorded 12 digs and
Courtney Conway 10. UWL had 6.0 team blocks as five different players recorded a block assist.
The Eagles hit .353 (15-3-34) in the second set. UWL trailed 21-16 in the third set before scoring 10 of the final 13 points to earn the sweep.
Emma Veum led Luther (Iowa) with eight kills and .727 (8-0-11) hitting percentage while Anna Larson and Katie Shabatura finished with seven kills each. Sam Sixta recorded 15 assists and Grace Meyers 11 as the Norse hit .183 (32-13-104).
Natalie Cote had a match-high 14 digs with Larson finishing with 13. Luther (Iowa) finished with 3.0 team blocks.
UWL returns to action Friday, September 7 at the Augsburg University (Minn.) Invitational, facing the University of St. Thomas (Minn.) at 4 p.m. St. Thomas (Minn.) is also receiving votes on the AVCA Poll.
