Orlando, Fla. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's tennis team opened its spring break splitting a pair of matches at the United States Tennis Association National Campus Sunday.  The Eagles, now 13-2 on the season, opened with a 9-0 victory over the University of Scranton (Pa.) before falling 5-4 to Franklin & Marshall College (Pa.). 

UWL, ranked 15th in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Central Region, had its eight-match winning streak snapped with the loss to Franklin & Marshall.  The Diplomats are ranked 20th in the ITA Atlantic South Region.

UWL's Bridget Bellissimo is ranked 10th in the ITA Central Region in singles and 38th in the nation while Allison Wolters of Franklin & Marshall (Pa.) is ranked 18th in the ITA Atlantic South.

Bellissimo and Sadie Spahn earned a 8-5 doubles victory over Wolters and Nicole Russo, currently ranked seventh in the ITA Atlantic South and 25th in the country.
