La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse men's swimming & diving team fell 161.5-83.5 to UW-Stevens Point Saturday afternoon at the Richard L. Pein Natatorium. The Eagles drop to 2-3 in duals this season, including 1-2 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC).
The Eagles'
Kyle Wolmutt and
Jacob Burchfield earned individual event titles Saturday with Wolmutt winning the one-meter diving (263.95 points) and Burchfield the 200-yard I.M. (1:56.92). Wolmutt was also second (286.35) in the three-meter diving competition.
UWL also won the 400-yard freestyle relay (3:09.54) with
Ryan Jessen,
Nicholas Brehmer, Burchfield and
Jackson Uselman. The Eagles placed second in 400-yard medley (3:36.14) with Jessen,
Quinton Maydaniuk, Uselman and Burchfield.
