Box Score 2 Oshkosh, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse volleyball team earned a pair of wins at the UW-Oshkosh Invitational Friday night in Kolf Sports Center. The Eagles, ranked 19th on this week's American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Top-25 Poll, earned a 3-0 (25-16, 25-11, 25-19) victory over Alma College (Mich.) and a 3-1 (19-25, 25-18, 29-27, 25-15) victory over Saint Mary's College (Ind.). UWL improves to 14-2 on the season.
Versus Alma (Mich.),
Stephanie Henk led the Eagles with 11 kills while hitting .440 with no hitting errors in 25 attempts.
Jill Entinger finished with eight kills for the Eagles while
Jessica Jablonski and
Ashley Entinger each had six kills.
Madison Entinger recorded 33 assists as UWL hit .290 (39-10-100) overall. The Eagles hit .571 (12-0-21) in the seocnd set.
Halle Barnabo led UWL with 14 digs while
Paige Schmidt finished with nine and
Marisa Johnson eight.
UWL finished with 4.0 team blocks.
Against Saint Mary's (Ind.), Henk recorded a match-high 15 kills while
Jill Entinger finished with eight and
Ashley Entinger seven.
Madison Entinger recorded 39 assists as UWL hit .113 (42-28-124) overall.
Barnabo had a season-high 19 digs while
Madison Entinger finished with 16 and Schmidt 10. UWL had 9.0 team blocks with Jablonski recording seven block assists.
UWL returns to action Saturday, October 1 at the UW-Oshkosh Invitational. The Eagles face Carthage College (Wis.) at noon and 18th-ranked Elmhurst College (Ill.) at 4 p.m.
