Box Score Menomonie, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse volleyball team earned a 3-1 (21-25, 25-23, 25-17, 25-16) victory at UW-Stout Wednesday night in Johnson Fieldhouse. The Eagles improve to 12-2 and 1-1 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) while the Blue Devils drop to 8-8 overall and 1-1 in the WIAC.
UWL, tied for 19th in this week's American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Top-25 Poll, was led by
Jill Entinger and
Jessica Jablonski with 12 kills each. Jablonski hit .550 in the match with 12 kills and one error in 20 attempts. Entinger hit .286 (12-4-28). The Eagles'
Stephanie Henk recorded 11 kills.
Madison Entinger finished with 41 assists as the Eagles hit .258 overall. UWL hit .393 (12-1-28) in the fourth set.
Halle Barnabo had a team-high 15 digs while Henk recorded a double-double with 10 digs.
Paige Schmidt also finished with 10 digs. UWL had 8.0 team blocks with Jablonski recording two block solos and three block assists. Jill and
Madison Entinger each had three block assists.
Ashley Pratt led UW-Stout with 15 kills while Kennedy Strain finished with 12. Jessica DuVal finished with 20 assists as the Blue Devils hit .127. Anna Panning had a match-high 16 digs with DuVal adding 13.
UW-Stout finished with 3.0 team blocks.
UWL returns to action Friday, September 30 at the UW-Oshkosh Invitational. The Eagles face Alma College (Mich.) at 6 p.m. and Saint Mary's College (Ind.) at 8 p.m.
