UW-Whitewater 190.775, UW-La Crosse 190.175
Whitewater, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse gymnastics team was edged at UW-Whitewater Saturday night in its final regular-season meet of the season. UW-Whitewater earned a 190.775 to 190.175 victory over UWL in Russell Arena.
The Eagles scored 47.525 on the vault; 47.275 on the uneven parallel bars; a season-high 47.600 on the balance beam and 47.775 on the floor exercise. UWL's total score of 190.175 is its second-highest total this year after a school record 192.900 at the Iowa State University Quadrangular February 21.

Amy Enright and
Dani Barmore each won individual event titles Saturday as Enright captured the uneven parallel bars (9.650) and Barmore the balance beam (9.675). Barmore was also second on the uneven parallel bars (9.625) and third on the vault (9.625). She finished third in Saturday's all-around (38.125).
Other top finishers for the Eagles included
Kari Willett tied for second on the balance beam (9.600) and
Elsa Spitzmueller third on the floor exercise (9.650). Willett also finished fifth on the floor exercise (9.575) while Spitzmueller was fifth on the balance beam (9.575).
Abby Ostrovsky was fifth on the uneven parallel bars (9.425) while
Leah Spankowski finished sixth on the vault (9.575) and
Savana Kettner sixth on the floor exercise (9.550).
UWL returns to action Friday, March 4 hosting the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Championships/National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) West Regional Championships. Action starts at 6 p.m. in Mitchell Hall.
