Box Score 2 La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse volleyball team, ranked 13th on this week's American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Top-25 Poll, earned a pair of wins at its own triangular Saturday in Mitchell Hall. The Eagles earned a 3-1 (22-25, 28-26, 25-20, 25-21) victory over UW-Stout and a 3-0 (25-17, 25-16, 25-19) win over Carroll University (Wis.). UWL improves to 20-3 on the season, recording its second straight 20-win season.
UW-Stout picked up a 3-1 (25-20, 25-15, 23-25, 25-20) victory over Carroll (Wis.) Saturday.
In its win over UW-Stout,
Stephanie Henk led UWL with 16 kills while
Jill Entinger and
Ashley Entinger each recorded 13.
Madison Entinger had 47 assists as the Eagles hit .224 overall. UWL hit .273 (12-3-33) in the fourth set.
Halle Barnabo had a team-high 17 digs versus UW-Stout with
Paige Schmidt finishing with 13 and
Marisa Johnson eight. UWL finished with 11.0 team blocks as
Jill Entinger recorded three block solos and three block assists.
Jessica Jablonski had two block solos and two block assists.
Henk led UWL with 13 kills in its victory over Carroll (Wis.) Saturday.
Ashley Entinger and Jablonski each had nine kills. Entinger hit .533 (9-1-15) in the match while Jablonski hit .474 (9-0-19).
Madison Entinger recorded 36 assists with the team hitting .277 overall. UWL hit .348 (11-3-23) in the second set.
With 17 kills in Saturday's two matches,
Jill Entinger now has 1,003 in her career. She ranks ninth in school history in kills.
Schmidt led the Eagles with 14 digs while Barnabo added 12. UWL had 3.0 team blocks with Jablonski finishing with one block solo and two block assists.
UWL returns to action Wednesday, October 26 at 11th-ranked UW-Whitewater at 7 p.m.
