St. Paul, Minn. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse gymnastics team earned a 184.800 to 181.325 victory at Hamline University (Minn.) Friday night in Walker Field House. The Eagles scored 46.725 on the vault; 45.925 on the uneven parallel bars; 46.200 on the balance beam and 46.400 on the floor exercise.
UWL's
Samantha Wiekamp captured the all-around (37.425) Friday while also finishing second on the uneven parallel bars (9.475), third on the floor exercise (9.300), tied for third on the vault (9.250) and fourth on the balance beam (9.400).
The Eagles won all four individual titles, including a pair by
Dani Barmore as she captured the uneven parallel bars (9.500) and balance beam (9.650). Barmore also tied for fifth on the vault (9.225).
Leah Spankowski won the vault (9.425) Friday and
Savana Kettner took the floor exercise (9.475). Spankowski was also sixth on the balance beam (9.050) while Kettner was second on the balance beam (9.600).
Other top finishes included
Carly Kiesow third on the uneven parallel bars (9.250),
Chelsie Richards tied for fourth on the floor exercise (9.250),
Lauren Wilson tied for fifth on the vault (9.225) and
Amy Enright sixth on the floor exercise (9.225).
UWL returns to action Friday, January 29 hosting Winona State University (Minn.) at 6:30 p.m.
