UW-La Crosse 172, UW-Oshkosh 41
Oshkosh, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse men's swimming & diving team earned a 172-41 dual victory at UW-Oshkosh Saturday afternoon. The Eagles won 11 individual events and swept both relays.
Nicholas Brehmer,
Charleton Skinner and
Tanner Folvag each won two individual titles Saturday. Brehmer captured the 200 (1:48.89) and 500 (5:11.57) freestyle; Skinner won the 200 I.M. (2:01.87) and 100 butterfly (54.28) and Folvag swept the one (240.15 points) and three-meter (273.05) diving competitions.
Other individual winners for UWL included
Jacob Burchfield in the 1,650 freestyle (18:07.09),
Hunter Burchfield in the 50 freestyle (21.96),
Jackson Uselman in the 100 freestyle (48.96),
Ryan Neigbauer in the 100 backstroke (57.40) and
Quinton Maydaniuk in the 100 breaststroke (1:03.75).
Jacob Burchfield was also second in the 100 freestyle (52.00) while Uselman was second in the 50 freestyle (22.40). Neigbauer finished third (2:10.08) and Maydaniuk fourth (2:11.01) in the 200 I.M.
Kyle Wolmutt placed second in the one (201.75 points) and three-meter (222.90) diving while
Elijah Heggerness finished third in the one (194.50) and three-meter (177.10).
Other top individual finishes for the Eagles included
Erik Wickstrom second in the 200 (1:52.58) and 500 (5:16.13) freestyle with Jake Kisiolek third in the 100 butterfly (59.95) and 100 breaststroke (1:08.92).
Ryan Jessen was third (22.55) in the 50 freestyle and
Jack Pettinger was fourth (58.84) in the 100 freestyle.
Hunter Burchfield, Maydaniuk, Skinner and Jessen captured the 400 medley relay (3:38.08) while
Jacob Burchfield, Brehmer,
Hunter Burchfield and Jessen won the 400 freestyle relay (3:20.40).
UWL returns to action Saturday, January 30 at UW-Stevens Point at 1 p.m.
