Box Score 2 Madison, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse volleyball team dropped a pair of non-conference matches at Edgewood College (Wis.) Saturday afternoon in Todd Wehr Edgedome. The Eagles fell 3-1 (25-23, 25-22, 24-26, 25-23) to Dominican University (Ill.) and 3-1 (25-13, 20-25, 25-19, 25-20) to Edgewood (Wis.). Dominican (Ill.) is receiving votes on this week's American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division III Top-25 Poll. UWL is now 12-6 on the season.
Dominican (Ill.) is now 15-7 on the year while Edgewood (Wis.) is 12-8.
Versus Dominican (Ill.),
Jill Entinger led UWL with 16 kills whit hitting .538 (16-2-26).
Leah Putzier recorded 12 kills for the Eagles while
Ashley Entinger finished wiht 10.
Madison Entinger had 37 assists as UWL hit .170 (49-22-159).
Danica Johnson led four players in double figures in digs with 17.
Madison Entinger finished with 13 digs while
Hallie Locher recorded 12 and Putzier 10. UWL had 10.0 team blocks as
Jill Entinger recorded five blocks assists.
Putzier had a team-high 14 kills versus Edgewod (Wis.) while
Jill Entinger and
Jessica Jablonski each had six.
Madison Entinger had 38 assists as UWL hit .115 (42-27-130).
Johnson and Locher each had 14 digs. UWL had 9.0 total blocks with
Jill Entinger registering six block assists.
UWL returns to action Wednesday, October 7 at 19th-ranked UW-Oshkosh at 7 p.m.
