Box Score 2 La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse volleyball team earned a pair of victories at its own invitational Friday night in Mitchell Hall. The Eagles earned a 3-1 (25-17, 21-25, 25-21, 26-24) win over Bethel University (Minn.) and a 3-0 (25-20, 25-20, 25-22) victory over Central College (Iowa). With the two victories, UWL extended its winning streak to three and is now 15-7 on the season.
Versus Bethel (Minn.),
Jill Entinger led the Eagles with 19 kills while hitting .286 (19-7-42).
Stephanie Henk finished with 12 kills and
Ashley Entinger had eight.
Ashley Entinger hit .316 (8-2-19) for the match.
Jaclyn Barrette recorded 47 assists as UWL hit .185 (56-27-157).
Henk and
Hallie Locher each had 19 digs for the Eagles with
Paige Schmidt finishing with 10. UWL had 9.0 team blocks.
Jessica Jablonski recorded five block assists while
Jill Entinger finished with four.
Against Central (Iowa),
Jill Entinger led three players in double figures in kills with 13. She hit .393 (13-2-28).
Leah Putzier had 11 kills and Henk finished with 10 while hitting .348 (10-2-23). The Eagles hit .258 (48-16-124) as a team with Barrette finishing with 42 assists.
Barrette and Henk each had 12 digs with Locher registering 10. UWL had 6.0 team blocks with Jablonski,
Jill Entinger and Henk each finishing with three block assists.
UWL returns to action Saturday, October 17 at the invitational. The Eagles face Augustana College (Ill.) at 12:30 p.m. and Dickinson State University (N.D.) at 3 p.m.
