UW-L Earns Comeback Victory at UW-Eau Claire

Box Score Eau Claire, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse volleyball team earned a come-from-behind 3-2 (20-25, 11-25, 25-22, 25-19, 15-13) victory at UW-Eau Claire Saturday afternoon in the McPHee Physical Education Center.  The Eagles improve to 8-9 overall and 1-1 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) while the Blugolds drop to 9-10 overall and 1-1 in the conference. 

Stephanie Henk led UW-L with 17 kills Saturday, hitting .316 (17 kills, five errors, 38 attempts) while Sydney Bump recorded 12 kills and hit .286 (12-4-38).  Leah Putzier finished with nine kills while Jill Entinger had seven. 

Jaclyn Barrette recorded 41 assists as the Eagles hit .170. 

Danica Johnson led three players in double figures in digs with 18 while Barrette finished with 16 and Putzier 15.  Entinger had 4.0 total blocks while Barrette had 3.0. 

Alexis Wong led UW-Eau Claire with 16 kills with Megan Tracy recording 14, Kelly Riesgraf 12 and Katrina Raskie 10.  Wong hit .314 (16-5-35) while Riesgraf hit .333 (12-3-27). 

Jenna Smits finished with 50 assists as the Blugolds hit .251.

Jamie Dimka led four players in double figures in digs with 25.  Talia Jaskulske recorded 14, Raskie 13 and Smits 10.  Riesgraf had 5.0 total blocks and Tracy 3.0.

UW-L returns to action Friday, October 3 hosting Luther College (Iowa) at 5 p.m.
