Box Score Decorah, Iowa - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse volleyball team fell 3-1 (23-25, 25-23, 32-30, 25-16) at Luther College (Iowa) Friday night. The Eagles drop to 7-8 on the season while the Norse improve to 9-5. UW-L now leads the all-time series, 19-7. The teams will face each other Friday, October 3 at 5 p.m. in the UW-La Crosse Invitational.
Leah Putzier led UW-L with 17 kills Friday night while
Sydney Bump finished with 14.
Jessica Jablonski had six kills. Jaclyn Barrett recorded 51 assists as the Eagles hit .221.
Courtney Geisler had a team-high 21 digs with Putzier recording 10.
Danica Johnson and
Melanie Martin each had nine digs.
Jill Entinger recorded one block solo and five block assists.
McKinzy Lohberger led three Luther players in double-digit kills with 14. Leah Broderick finished with 13 kills and Natalee Johnson 12. Lindsey Ryan had 43 assists as the Norse hit .299.
Taylor Galde recorded 15 digs while Brandi Knupp and Lindsey Ryan each had 10.
Broderick had four block assists.
UW-L returns to action Friday, September 26 opening Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) play at UW-River Falls at 7 p.m.
